Feng Shui In the Garden

Saturday August 3rd 10 am to 12 pm

Facilitated by Lori Young

Feng shui is an ancient Chinese philosophy dating back over 6,000 years. Translated literally, feng means “wind” and shui means “water.”  In Chinese culture, wind and water are associated with good health, and feng shui came to mean good fortune. It utilizes the Art of Placement in the home and landscape to improve different aspects of life. Feng shui is based on the energies of the 5 elements – Earth, Metal, Water, Wood and Fire – to influence 9 different areas, each corresponding with a specific area of life. Through this practice one can enhance their overall health and well-being as well as more specialized areas.

In this workshop you will learn basic techniques to increase positive chi (energy) and remove destructive chi (energy) within your landscape. We will explore the Eastern Philosophy using the compass points as well as the Western Philosophy.

The cost of this workshop is $15.00.  Please register and pre-pay for this event by calling 610-363-5455.  Each participant will receive professional advice on one specific area of their garden and a gift to begin their journey. Please bring photos of the areas you wish to focus on and we will provide guidance to enhance the space.
